Designing and Realising
This is the core of the craft: turning a requirement into a working, tested, and reasonably secure full-stack application — front-end, back-end, data, and the architecture that connects them.
Starting Points
- Core web technologies
- Component architecture & framework basics
- Algorithms & data structures
- Language & runtime
- Wireframing & prototyping
- System & data modeling
- API implementation
- Database integration
- Authentication & authorization basics
- Input validation & secure coding
- Testing fundamentals
- Working with AI
Deepening:
- Architecture and design patterns
- API design & contract-first development
- Advanced testing: strategy & professional test environment
- Secure coding practices
- Advanced programming & performance optimization
Level 2 Learning Outcome Designing & Realising
You design and realise solutions in consultation with stakeholders, work according to provided methods, and validate whether it works as intended. Success criteria:
- You design and realise according to provided methods and standards, take into account the interests of end users, and ask for help when you run into problems
- You communicate about your work, show your progress, and process feedback to improve it
- You test against criteria, validate with end users, and adjust based on the results
Level 3 Learning Outcome Designing & Realising
You design and realise fitting solutions in dialogue with stakeholders, work according to professional standards, and systematically validate whether the solution works and meets the needs. Success criteria:
- You design and realise according to professional standards and ethical principles, take into account scalability and maintainability, and solve problems independently
- You communicate about your work, present your design and results, and systematically integrate feedback into your work
- You validate continuously with end users, test systematically, and critically evaluate quality and effectiveness
